A SobrieTea

One of the things I have never left behind in sobriety is the desire to host a great party. Although today I would consider them gatherings and back in the day people were drinking from measuring cups out of a keg. Not very glam I know.

I cherish the women in my life and to show them I like to have "gatherings." Sunday will be a SobrieTea. To host a SobrieTea is fun and not too difficult.

  • First you create your guest list.
  • Next you plan a menu.
  • Send invites.
  • Shop
  • Prep
  • Serve
For my day I am serving quiche, I can make this the day before. I will toss a salad and have assorted nuts and fruit. For the goodies I just picked up mixes for chocolate chip monkey bread and cranberry scones. The teas are an assortment of TAZO teas and just for my sister in law Red Rose.

There are so many great sober parties you can have to celebrate recovery with your friends. I also do a spa day. This is great fun but a little heavier on the budget. Some other simple ideas...

  • Picnic
  • Dinner Party
  • Luau
  • Baseball - invite enough people to get a game going!
  • Grammy Party
  • Yappy Hour - bring your puppies together over ice tea with fresh mint, sandwiches and salads
  • Fiesta

The only reason you need to have a party is simply because you adored your peeps. ♥ What makes a party really special is the TLC put into the details. Hope you will pass on your sober party ideas!

I am so grateful to have people in my life I WANT to spend time with. I am grateful for the women in recovery.

Great idea. We have our Christmas buffet but these ideas are cool.
